Emergencies

Dr Amritash Rai provides non-urgent psychiatric care to Children and Adolescents and is unable to respond to emergencies. Additionally, Dr Rai cannot respond to out of hours inquiries and emergencies.

Crisis Support Lines


If you need immediate help in regard to a crisis in your health or  living circumstances, the following helplines provide telephone crisis  support and counseling 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and online  assistance (limited hours, depending on the service):  


  • Lifeline: 131114 -  Lifeline is a national charity providing all  Australians experiencing a personal crisis with access to 24 hour crisis  support and suicide prevention services.

  • Kids Help Line:  1800 55 1800www.kidshelpline.com.au – A counselling service specifically for young people aged between 5 and 25.

  • 1300 MH CALL (1300 64 2255) 24-hour Specialist Mental Health Care
  • The Samaritans 24/7 Anonymous Crisis Support: 135247
